What is O'Clock Kumamoto Opera Company?
O'Clock Kumamoto Opera Company is an all-female theater company based in Kumamoto, the "Manga Prefecture," and was launched by Core Mix Co., Ltd., a publisher specializing in manga.
In today's world where the internet is packed with content, live performances are what generate great value. We wanted to create a "live performance based on a manga" like no other! This permanent theater company was formed in Kumamoto, the Manga Prefecture, with that idea in mind.
The O'Clock Kumamoto Opera Company is currently adapting the popular manga "Maeda Keiji Kabuki Journey," which is currently being serialized in the monthly "Comic Zenon" published by Core Mix, into a stage production. The story is set one year after the Battle of Sekigahara, when the eccentric Maeda Keiji travels around Kyushu in search of the "winds of war."
