◆“City Hunter” x “Kobu Sake Brewery” product development story

When we were considering doing something new with Craftzine, we had previously collaborated with Devilman and Fist of the North Star, so we thought about a new development in manga works. Ta. The stylish image of Spirits matches the hard-boiled image of City Hunter, and the code "XYZ" written on the message board when requesting work in the work was changed to "XYGIN". There was also a suggestion that it would be interesting to commercialize the product by modifying it with "X Y Jin", and through trial and error we came up with the idea. ``PINK SILVER'' uses the taste and aroma of botanicals used in craft gin to express the sweet and sour feelings of Kaoru Makimura, the partner of the main character Ryo Saeba. ``BLACK GOLD'' expresses the scent of gunpowder from Sweeper Ryo Saeba's favorite gun, the Colt Python 357. 　 After repeated prototyping using various botanical materials, we created these two types of craft gin inspired by "City Hunter." The most difficult part was creating depth of flavor and determining the blending ratio of botanicals to create a fruity aroma. ``PINK SILVER'' has 4 types of botanicals: juniper berry, rose, apple, and blueberry. ``BLACK GOLD'' uses six botanicals: tomato, lemongrass, holy basil, chamomile, black pepper, and smoked juniper berries to express the scent of Colt Python 357 smoke.
