Comment from Professor Tetsuo Hara

◇What I paid special attention to when drawing Mr. Sakai in a samurai costume I went through trial and error to create a picture that was basically not a caricature, but based on the worldview of my manga, but I deformed it so that Sakai's character oozed out while creating a harmonious picture. However, I had a strong impression of seeing Sakai-san in a TV drama before, so I was impressed that there are people who can still express such angry expressions in modern times. I was able to draw and ride it☆ ◇What are your impressions after watching the new commercial “Zetten no Samurai”? It was a dream-like experience to see my drawing of Mr. Sakai come to life as an anime, but the animators involved in the process had to endure an immeasurable amount of hardship. After all, I thought this commercial was made possible because of the power of the top-notch Sakai-san☆ ◇To viewers of the new commercial and fans of “Samurai Mac” Let's enjoy being an adult in 2023 by eating the new Samurai Mac products that are perfect for the New Year, "Japanese-style BBQ Egg Thick Beef" and "Garlic Zaku Sliced Potato Thick Beef"! "You're already eating!!" In addition, from January 1st, McDonald's official Twitter account (@McDonaldsJapan) will be running a six-part Twitter campaign where you can win posts paying homage to famous lines from "Fist of the North Star" and a special Mac card with Tetsuo Hara's original art.
