The final performance of the 150th anniversary of Meijiza's founding will be the play "Mage the Cat's Eye" at the Meijiza Theater in Tokyo from Tuesday, February 6th to Sunday, March 3rd, 2024.
Since its release in 1981, "CAT'S♥EYE" has gained explosive popularity and continues to be loved even in the current Reiwa era. The original manga has not only been made into an anime and a live-action movie, but has also been developed into various media mixes.
This stage version is set in the Meiji period, the era when the Meijiza Theater was founded, and is an original story in which the three Cat's Eye thief sisters perform a spectacular heist.
The story's main characters, the three sisters who are the phantom thieves of Cat's Eye, are played by Fujiwara Norika as Kisugi Hitomi, Takashima Reiko as Kisugi Rui, and Gouriki Ayame as Kisugi Ai. Co-stars include Miya Rurika as a mysterious character who appears at the cafe run by the three sisters, an original character from the stage version, Someya Toshiyuki as Utsumi Toshio, a police officer who is Kisugi Hitomi's lover and is pursuing Cat's Eye, Kamiyama Ryuji as Hirano Takeshi, a junior detective at Utsumi, and Hasegawa Hatsunori as the three sisters' father, bringing together a diverse cast of unique characters from a wide range of genres! In addition, Kawakubo Takuji, Tsukui Minami, and Shintani Himeka will also be joining the cast, bringing together a diverse cast of unique characters.

This was Hojo Tsukasa's first serialized work, which began serialization in Weekly Shonen Jump in 1981.
The thrilling love comedy and crime action story became popular, and in 1983 it was made into a TV anime series, with its theme song becoming a huge hit.

Synopsis
Hitomi, Rui, and Ai, the three beautiful sisters who run the cafe Cat's Eye, have a secret side to them. They are the phantom thief "Cat's Eye," who steals art pieces to find out the truth about their missing father. Detective Utsumi Toshio is obsessed with arresting the phantom thief "Cat's Eye," but he doesn't know that her true identity is his girlfriend, Hitomi. As the phantom thief and the detective engage in a battle of wits, what will become of the love between Hitomi and Toshio, who continue to date?
